Devon Motorworks - GTX
With most of the American car manufacturers’ business going into the gutters, we often wonder what will be the messiah to deliver local car makers from the dreaded Chapter 11. Is the solution a sensible Japanese compact hybrid? Or is it a super car to cater to the richest of the rich? Whichever the most effective solution is, perhaps Devon Motorworks‘ latest GTX supercar will be able to become a player in this increasingly difficult car game because frankly, it would be a shame to see such a great car go to shambles.
The GTX is designed based on simplicity, functionality and beauty. The general aesthetics aim for a neo retro look– a classic rendition of something futuristic. Throw yourself back in the 1960s and try to reimagine what a car in 2010 will look like and that picture shouldn’t be too far from the streamlined GTX.
Don’t let GTX’s good looks fool ya– the supercar has a rapping 650 horsepower, which is more than the Lamborghini Murcielago. The car powered by a 8.4 L V-10 engine recently debuted at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and is set to retail for $500,000 next year.
Not very sure who will be able to afford it in this economy, but hopefully the car will be able to live up to the CEO, Scott Devon’s expectations and earn a permanent spot in the automotive industry.(viahypebeast)
